Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the finish-time predictions?

They are a model, not a guarantee. You get three pacing bands rather than one number, and the range widens the less you tell it. They are best used to plan pacing and check cutoff risk, not to chase a precise time.

Are the cutoffs official?

We show the standard structure for each distance as a template and label it as such. Exact cutoffs differ by event and year, so the authority is always your race’s official Athlete Guide, which we link from every race page.

Do I need a power meter or a wetsuit?

No. The bike tools work from either power (FTP + weight) or a flat-ride speed. Wetsuit legality depends on water temperature on the day — the tools let you toggle it and the race pages note what is likely.

Is the fuelling plan medical advice?

No. It is a race-strategy starting point to rehearse in training. It avoids diagnosis and never promises to prevent cramps or GI issues. If you have a health condition, consult a professional.

Does my data get uploaded?

No. Everything is stored locally on your device. A shareable Blueprint link encodes your inputs in the URL itself — there is no server and no account.

Which distances are supported?

The focus is 70.3 and full (140.6) for first-timers, but Sprint and Olympic are supported in every tool too.
